Morgan Stanley: The tokenized RWA market size will reach $30 billion to $1 trillion in the 2030s
Morgan Stanley's digital asset strategy director Amy Oldenburg said that the tokenized RWA market size will reach $30 billion to $1 trillion in the 2030s, and stated that the institutional market has shown obvious FOMO (fear of missing out) sentiment. The current RWA size is approximately $39.2 billion, and if it reaches the upper limit, it will need to expand 255 times.

On October 12, Morgan Stanley's digital asset strategy director Amy Oldenburg publicly stated that by 2030, the tokenized real-world assets (RWA) market size will reach $30 billion to $1 trillion, and said that this prediction is "without a doubt". She pointed out that institutional investors' attention and participation in the field are continuously heating up, and the institutional market has shown obvious FOMO (fear of missing out) sentiment.
As a reference, RWA.xyz data shows that as of October 12, the size of tokenized real-world assets is approximately $39.19 billion. If the market grows to $1 trillion in the future, the size needs to expand by about 255 times. Morgan Stanley is not the only optimistic one, Citibank Research's report in June 2026 predicted that the global tokenized asset market may grow from approximately $1.7 billion to $550 billion by 2030.
Raydiant Perspective: Morgan Stanley's predicted number itself is not surprising - what's really worth noting is the term "FOMO" coming from a top investment bank's digital asset strategy director. When institutional-level competitive psychology begins to drive configuration decisions, the RWA adoption curve may not be linear, but will accelerate after a certain critical point. But the 255-fold distance between $39.2 billion and $1 trillion also suggests that RWA is still in the very early stage. For brand assets and operating rights-type RWA, this means that the window period really exists, but the window will not be open indefinitely, and advance layout of compliance and on-chain architecture is a prerequisite for grasping the dividend.
